Have you ever given a handmade present to someone but you didn’t have a great way to say “oh, and by the way…I made that”? That happens to me a lot. I made quite a few handcrafted gifts for Christmas this year. It was a little time consuming but it was easier on the budget, that’s for sure. I think that homemade gifts are fun and unique, and it’s special when the recipient realizes the time and effort that you put into their gift. So this year I created a gift tag to use for all my homemade gifts. It is as simple as printing, cutting it out, and attaching to the gift. What I really like about it is the person that receives the gift will know it is homemade before they even open it. This will most likely add to their excitement while opening it, and then you don’t have to casually tell them “I made that for you”. You can use these gift tags not only for Christmas but all year round. Throw one on that Mother’s and Father’s Day craft!
Download the free printable and print (preferably on a thicker card stock). There are four tags on one 8.5×11 sheet of paper. Cut them out following the thin gray line with a scissors.
Use a hole punch at the top of the tag.
Use a pen or marker to write who the gift is “to” and who handcrafted it. Now it is ready to attach to your gift. I used curling ribbon to attach mine (and curled the ends with the scissor) and then taped the ribbon under the bow.
I hope you enjoy this easy way to feature your handcrafted gifts!

I’ve seen some of your crafty ideas on your blog, I’d imagine you’d be great at homemade gifts! But you’re right that it’s a little stressful finding the time.

Thank you! Yeah, I used to be up until all hours of the night frantically finishing them. Not worth it lol but it sure saved me money!
