I have a bad habit of always rewarding myself with food.
I ran 7 miles … “I deserve ice cream tonight”
I got up early to workout … “I deserve a coffee”
It’s Friday … “I deserve pizza”
I folded 7 loads of laundry … “I deserve wine”
Now don’t get the meaning of this post wrong, sometimes I absolutely deserve ice cream, coffee, pizza, and wine but I often jump to food as a reward way too quick. So I did a little brainstorming and came up with 50 ways to treat myself that do not include food. Some of the things on the list are quick, easy, and cost no money. Other things are a little bigger or more expensive. I think that keeping this list laying around will be a great reminder of the little things I can do to boost my mood or reward myself.
I hope the list gives you a few ideas of your own. But please don’t forget to treat yourself to pizza and ice cream every once and awhile. ?
