How many of you are scrambling to find last minute gifts? I’m not judging, in fact, I can appreciate and relate to your procrastination. I don’t like to think of myself as a “procrastinator”, but rather a “works well under pressure” person (we’ll just not mention that I’m the one causing the pressure by putting things off until the last minute). And I don’t procrastinate with everything in life, but I tend to with Christmas presents. Every year right after Thanksgiving I’m the first person that reaches out to family asking about our gift exchange and who is buying presents for who, because “I’m going to get all my Christmas shopping done early this year”. And it never fails, I’m scrambling to wrap presents the day before Christmas. In fact, I may or may not have taken a half day vacation from work today to “get stuff ready for Christmas” (I’m totally at home right now gathering and wrapping presents). However, in my defense I did wrap four presents early this year and my cat must have thought it was a new cat bed and busted through the top of the box. That box turned into her go-to nap spot, and she always looked too cozy to move.
Should I take this as a sign that I’m meant to be a last minute gift wrapper? The one time I have a gift wrapped weeks early and the paper gets ripped to shreds!
In case any of you are looking for a last minute gift or just an extra filler gift I created a cute and fun gift tag that you can easily slap on a bag of your favorite sweet treat. Or if you want to take a step further like I did, you can place candy in a cute jar and just tape the tag to the jar. This would be a perfect gift for a friend or coworker.
Just start with a jar and fill it with candy. I chose Wiley Wallaby Red Liquorice because I thought the red color would look festive and the pieces are pretty large so it wouldn’t take a ton of licorice to fill up the jar. Next you just have to print the free gift tags (below), and tape it to the jar.
